EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS

Their ideas.
Our community.

A food pantry. New trees. A flower bed. Three Troop 41 projects with a purpose close to home.

FOR PARENTS

A tradition of reaching Eagle.

More than half of Troop 41 Scouts achieve Eagle Scout rank, according to the troop’s fact sheet. Projects such as Todd’s food pantry, Mofan’s tree planting, and Christian’s flower bed give that achievement a local, lasting purpose.

For your child, the work is a chance to practice planning, taking responsibility, and following a project through to completion.

AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT

Todd’s food pantry.

Troop 41 Scout Todd McCoy built and installed a self-serve food pantry box at the Hopewell Valley Regional School District administration building in Pennington. The 2022 project gave neighbors a place to pick up food outside regular pantry hours.

A March 2025 article revisited the pantry and its connection to the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry.

MOFAN’S PROJECT

Tree planting.

Mofan chose tree planting for his Eagle Scout project—a contribution to the community that can keep growing long after planting day.

CHRISTIAN’S PROJECT

A flower bed.

Christian’s Eagle Scout project focused on a flower bed, bringing his interest in growing plants into a community service project.
